Veterinary Technician
Hey! I’m Chelsea and I have been a licensed Veterinary Technician in Kentucky for the last five years. I have spent the last four years working as an ER/ICU technician in Louisville and recently made my way back to the Madison Animal Clinic. I worked as a kennel assistant during college here and could not be happier to be back. My true passion in life is animals and being here at the Madison Animal Clinic I am able to do what I love every single day. Outside of work I enjoying spending time with my husband and 3 dogs, I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am also a volunteer with my church for an after school program for elementary school children called Kids Beach Club. So for me, that’s a wrap. I hope to be able to serve you and your pet in the near future!
Janet Daugherty
Veterinary Assistant
My name is Janet. I have a dog named Tuck and a cat named Carmen. I also have two quarter horses. I’ve worked at the clinic as a veterinary assistant since 2018. Before coming to the clinic I was the animal control officer for the City of Madison. I’ve also worked on a racehorse farm in Georgetown, KY. I love riding horses and I try to ride as much as I can. I also like hiking and kayaking!
Nancy Caldwell
Veterinary Assistant
My name is Nancy. Over the years I have worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Zoos and Aquariums. I have worked with a variety of species in the husbandry and training department. My favorites have been the Harbor Seals, Grizzly Bears, and North American River Otters. My husband and I have four dogs and a cat Gracie, Jaxon, Katie, Jacob, and Jordan Jellybean who keep us busy with their requests of playing ball and going hiking.

Receptionist
My name is Candace and I have been receptionist at the clinic since 2012. I am the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk in the front door. I have always had a love for animals, even as a child I was always bringing them home. I love my role at the clinic because not only do I get to work with pets all day, I get to interact with their people as well! Candace shares her home with her husband, two children, two dogs and a cat named Charlee.
